She is a Elf and a Princess of the Moon. But no one apart of her parents knows that she is the Princess of the Moon. One day when Sama was very young, she was sitting next to a sea and found a small koi fish at the end of the sea that was out of the water and Sama immediately ran over to bring this koi back into the water. But this koi seemed to have more, so she rushed home very quickly and brought both of her parents outside. Her parents supported her daughter's wish and Sama took the koi home with her, for the next few weeks Sama did nothing other than look after this koi, one evening Sama sat at her table and looked at this koi, it seemed as if it was happening this koi was much better and was swimming around. Sama fell asleep and this koi jumped out of the water, showed her real form and leaned down to give Sama a kiss on her forehead, she quietly thanked her for her help and yet this koi knew that her time had come to go, so she merged with Sama's body to become one.
And this is how she become the Moon Princess, because this Koi was the lost soul of the Moon.
Her father Sora is a King of the Matsuyama with his wife Sakuya. Sakuya is also a Maiden. Sometimes when Sama doesn't have anything to do or isn't training with her father, she helps her mom out with the Shrine and she also does sometimes the Kagura dance with her mother.
